17 Ukrainian universities were included in the international ranking of the best universities in the world by the British magazine Times Higher Education.
In total, the list includes 2092 universities, it is said on the rating website.
The highest position among Ukrainian universities was taken by Sumy State University (801-1000).
All other universities are located in category 1501+:
- O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University;
- Ivan Franko Lviv National University;
- M. E. Zhukovsky National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”;
- Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics;
- Lviv Polytechnic National University;
- National Aviation University;
- National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”;
- Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute;
- National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine;
- Odesa National University named after I. I. Mechnikov;
- Dnipro National University named after Oles Honchar;
- Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko;
- Uzhhorod National University;
- Prykarpattia National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk;
- V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University;
- Chernivtsi National University named after Yury Fedkovich.
In general, the British University of Oxford topped the ranking. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) was in second place, and Harvard University (USA) was in third place.
Princeton University (USA) and Cambridge University (Great Britain) were in the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
A total of 2,092 universities from 115 countries of the world were included in the rating.
They were analyzed according to 18 criteria, in particular, teaching quality, research environment, research quality and international openness.
