A history teacher in Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk Region was charged with brutal treatment of a sixth-grader.
The reason for initiating the case was an audio recording published by parents of schoolchildren. They argue that this is a conversation between a local school teacher and a sixth grader. On the audio, you can hear threats to an adult child, sounds of slapping and wrestling. The recording was passed on to the publication 74.ru.
According to the publication, the teacher left the sixth-grader after the lesson and, when the other children left, began to reprimand him for his behavior and laughing at himself. Judging by the recording, the teacher calls the child a “green snot”, demands to get on his knees and threatens to urinate on him. The boy apologizes several times in tears.
The teacher was suspended from work, but not fired yet: investigations are underway, the school director said.
In January, “Cherta” published a special project “School”, in which it told how violence in schools is organized and how it is resisted. Also, the journalists talked about the topic of who faced cruel treatment in schools and sports sections.
