A local state of emergency has been introduced in the Tikhoretsk district of the Krasnodar region, the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratiev, said. Earlier, after the drone attack, a warehouse with ammunition, which is located near the village of Kamenny, caught fire.
According to Kondratiev, nothing threatens the population now, and the state of emergency was introduced “for the organization of assistance to people and the prompt resolution of all issues related to the incident.” Earlier on Saturday, he reported that 1,200 people had been evacuated from the settlement near which the warehouse is located.
The General Staff of Ukraine announced the defeat of two military arsenals in Russia: in the Tikhoretsk district and in the Tver region. It is claimed that there were thousands of tons of ammunition, including from North Korea.
The project of the Ukrainian service of Radio Liberty published satellite images showing the consequences of a drone attack on a warehouse located north of Kamenny village. According to the pictures, the fire was still going on there on Saturday afternoon.
