Military medic Oksana reported sexual harassment by a colleague, which she suffered during her service. In two months, the unit did not conduct an official investigation, so the woman filed a complaint with the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
About this it is said in the material “Investigation Info”.
Oksana said that she had experience of service in the ATO zone. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the woman voluntarily went to the Military Commissariat and was mobilized as a medic. She saved soldiers in the battles for Lyman, Vovchansk and Bakhmut.
However, more than two months ago, during a combat adjustment at a training ground in the Lviv region, her colleague, serviceman Serhii, began to demand intimacy from her.
According to Oksana, Serhii openly made obscene suggestions – she was able to covertly record it on video.
“I was not ready that during the service you can be caught and humiliated“, she says.
As Oksana told journalists, during the trip, the man indulged in unacceptable statements and actions, including sexual proposals, as well as physical contact after swimming near the lake.
“After he swam, we came to the bridge, I started looking into the water, and he said: “I want to take a picture with you.” He stood next to me and began to rub his pelvis, I understand that a man has an erection. There was no one around, and I was already scared. let’s go He gets into the car, starts saying that I insult him very much. It’s like he doesn’t know what to do and we have to have sex…
And I start hysteria and it manifests itself in laughter. On the one hand, the person did not physically rape you. But you are afraid to say something, because you don’t know how he will react. When raising the voice, with sharp answers“, the doctor said.
Journalists tried to contact Serhiy, but he does not answer calls. After the incident, the man voluntarily left the military unit (SZCH) and is currently wanted.
The management of the unit confirmed this information, however, according to Oksana, no official investigation was conducted by the unit.
Oksana submitted a statement to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), but in more than two months the case has not yet been brought to court.
The command plans to transfer her together with Serhiy to another unit, explaining this by the fact that “the reconnaissance regiment needs morally and psychologically stable people”, and both participants in the conflict are considered “unstable”.
