A NASA astronaut photographed the aurora borealis from space – photo

A NASA astronaut photographed the aurora borealis from space and recorded the effects of a solar storm that swept over our planet.

Live Science writes about it.

On Earth, the aurora borealis is an optical phenomenon in the upper atmosphere. But from space you can see how large-scale this light show is.

Astronaut Josh Cassada took the picture from the International Space Station, which is orbiting about 400 km from Earth.

“Absolutely unreal”signed an astronaut’s own photo.

The photo shows that the green glow extends widely around the poles of the planet.

The photo was taken on February 28.

Auroras occur when charged particles from the sun collide with gas molecules in the Earth’s atmosphere.

We will remind you that NASA showed a jellyfish-like galaxy in the constellation of China.
