A resident of Chita was fined nine times for “discrediting” the army

In Chita, the court fined local resident Anton Bliznetsky nine times for anti-war comments on social networks. The total amount of fines under the article on the discrediting of the Russian army will amount to 270 thousand rubles, according to the website of the Ingoda District Court of Chita.

Earlier, Blyznetskyi told Sibir.Realia that 10 protocols on the so-called discrediting of the Russian army were drawn up against him.

On May 17, nine hearings were held, during which the judges reviewed the protocols drawn up in Chititsa. As follows from the texts of the resolutions, all administrative cases were related to publications in “VKontakte”, in particular, with comments under the news of the publications “Chita|Zabaikalye|75 region”

In court rulings (available to the editors), it is reported that the first fine was awarded to Blyznetsky for a comment dated October 1, 2022, which he left under the news “In Russia, four new subjects have been officially accepted.” the whole world will not recognize it, and Ukraine will take back by force all the territories, including Crimea, because these are illegally annexed territories by Russia,” the court documents state.

Another fine was imposed by the court on Bliznetsky for the fact that on October 7, under the news item “The former head of the Chita administration, Alexander Sapozhnikov, congratulated the residents of the Trans-Baikal Region on International Women’s Day directly from the SVO zone,” he left a comment: “An official who became an occupier.”

• The administrative article on the discrediting of the army was adopted eight days after the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It provides fines from 30 to 50 thousand rubles. Any anti-military statements, criticism of the military and their actions are considered discreditable by the Russian courts. In 2022 alone, Russian courts fined at least four thousand people for a total of more than 150 million rubles in such cases.
