A law student was detained in Kyiv, who offered men of draft age to study at a Polish university for $10,000.

He faces up to 9 years in prison, reported in the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

The suspect is 24 years old. He acted together with accomplices, whose identities the law enforcement officers are still determining.

In addition to money, the man took from “clients” the documents necessary for enrollment in studies. He promised them an invitation from a Polish university, which would be the basis for leaving Ukraine.

The man came to “negotiations” with potential clients in business-class cars that did not belong to him. So the man tried to make an impression.

The suspect is accused of organizing the illegal transportation of conscripts across the state border of Ukraine – part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

He faces imprisonment for a term of 7 to 9 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to 3 years with confiscation of property.

We will remind you that in Transcarpathia, the management of a private university received bribes formalized conscripted men for training, so that they get a deferment. Law enforcement officers seized 4.5 million hryvnias from them.
