In Dnipro, a female doctor administered a fatal injection to her one and a half year old son. She was sentenced to 8 years behind bars for premeditated murder, but the prosecutor’s office will appeal the court verdict, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports. “According to the public indictment of the Left Bank District Prosecutor’s Office of Dnipro, a local resident was found guilty of the intentional murder of a minor child (Clause 2, Part 2, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 8 years in prison,” the message reads. Prosecutors proved in court that in September 2021, a 39-year-old woman, being a pharmacist with a medical education, injected her one-and-a-half-year-old son with a powerful heart-stimulating drug prohibited for free sale. Currently, the prosecutor’s office is preparing an appeal against the “softness” of the sentence – it will insist on imposing a more severe punishment. It will be recalled that the woman from Kyiv was previously convicted of domestic violence against her own son.
