Earlier, Lukashenko met with outgoing State Council Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Parliament Speaker Li Zhanshu. They also talked about strengthening bilateral relations. Lukashenko noted that trade between the countries is growing and has reached 6 billion dollars.

On February 24, China presented a 12-point plan for a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine. Among them – a cease-fire from both sides, peace negotiations and guarantees of sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, as well as the refusal of unilateral sanctions.

  • In relation to Russia’s war in Ukraine, China takes a neutral position. However, the country did not join the sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States, the European Union, and many other countries.
