Estonian athlete Jaan Rus became the first person in the world to cross the border between Asia and Europe on a tightrope over the Bosphorus.

As informs Turkish daily newspaper Hürriyet, it happened on July 15th during the Continental Pass event in Istanbul. Jaan walked on a special rope more than 1 kilometer long at a height of 165 meters.

“Rus, who started his “walk” across the Asian continent at 6 p.m., reached the European side in about 47 minutes. No one had crossed from Asia to Europe from such a high point before. Ruz became the first athlete to make history with this achievement.” – the message says.

Speaking after the event, Jaan Rus noted that he feels happy.

“In addition to the fact that the Bosphorus connects two continents, it has thousands of years of historical and cultural value, as well as incredible natural beauty.

If you combine this with the changing weather conditions and strong sea currents, it has become a unique place for slacklining. – said the Estonian.

We used to told about the Frenchwoman Anouk Garnier, who climbed the Eiffel Tower on a rope to a height of 110 meters in 18 minutes. The woman set two new world records.
