Lack of electricity

As a result of shelling, network infrastructure was damaged – 24 settlements were cut off in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Restoration work continues.

“In the Zaporozhye region, 246,600 consumers were left without power as a result of shelling and equipment damage at substations. Currently, the majority of consumers are fed up.

In the Donetsk region, 10 settlements have been cut off due to shelling, and two mines are without power supply. A hit was recorded near an electric substation, the staff was not injured,” the ministry reports.

At the same time, 24,500 consumers were cut off in the Kherson region due to shelling. Repair teams work where the security situation allows.

“Despite the extremely difficult situation after the shelling, the energy system works stably. Restrictions for household consumers do not apply.

Export of electricity for the current day is: to Moldova — 100 MW, to Poland — 100 MW. Imports are not planned for May 22,” the department added.

The ministry also reported on the situation in the gas industry. In two days, the volume of gas in the storages increased by almost 70 million cubic meters. Blue fuel reserves are sufficient — more than 9.2 billion cubic meters.
