Ukrainian law enforcement officers reported suspicion of a collaborator from Melitopol, whom the occupiers made “the first deputy minister of education and science of the Zaporizhzhia region.” The woman voluntarily accepted this pseudo-position and began to promote “Russian peace” in education, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports. “Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Volyn regional prosecutor’s office, a resident of Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia was notified of suspicion of collaborative activity (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the message reads. According to the investigation, in the fall of 2022, the woman voluntarily assumed a leadership position in the occupying “administration” of the aggressor state in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Having become the occupying “first deputy minister of education and science of the Zaporizhia region”, the woman began to ensure the implementation of the illegal “state policy” of the occupiers in the fields of education and science. “She actively promoted the ideas of “Russian peace”, disseminated hostile propaganda aimed at discrediting the actions of the Ukrainian authorities, performed other functional duties aimed at establishing and approving the temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine,” law enforcement officers say. A special pre-trial investigation is conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine. We will remind, earlier the mayor of Melitopol said that 90% of educators refused to cooperate with the Russian occupiers.
