In “Dia” there was an opportunity to get married online. From now on, you can make a proposal, apply for marriage and hold an online ceremony in the application.

The marriage certificate will be pulled online, reported in the application.

“Only in Ukraine you can go through the full cycle of marriage — from submitting an application, marriage online and to a certificate in the application. You no longer need to go anywhere, collect documents, put them in a file to become husband and wife. From now on, it’s just a few clicks in Diya.

Thanks to online marriage, military and couples who are far from each other will be able to get married despite the circumstances, the distance between cities or even countries.” – said the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

To get married in “Dia”, you must:

be adult citizens of Ukraine;
have a verified tax number;
have an ID card or foreign passport in “Diya”;
not to be in another marriage;
if divorced, have data about this in the DRATS register.

A notification about the offer will come to the partner in the selected application. It must be answered within 14 days. You can share your dream “Yes” with your friends on social networks.

To use the service, you should:

update “Action”, go to “Services” and select “Online Marriage”;
click “Make an offer” and send a notification to your partner on a convenient messenger;
he/she must respond to it within 14 days;
after consent, you should provide your data for the application within 12 hours;
the system will offer free dates – the closest ones for the ceremony will be in 5 days.

If you change your mind, the marriage application can be canceled.

Also, in “Action” you can determine what to do with the surname after marriage: keep your own, take your partner’s surname or make it double.

On the day of the wedding, follow the link in the application to the online ceremony. It lasts up to 30 minutes.

The digital certificate of marriage registration will be automatically uploaded to “Diya” within 24 hours. The physical document can be ordered by “Ukrposhta” delivery or picked up at the branch.

Technically, the process will be provided by the Webex video communication platform from the American corporation Cisco.
