Jouret, 81, survived by recording the candies, cookies and croissants he had in his car. From time to time he lowered the window to “enjoy” the snow. On the third day, the car’s battery still discharged, and one of the car’s windows remained open. On March 2, rescuers managed to ping the signal of Jerry’s mobile phone, and thereby narrow the search area. Rescuers clear the snow After several hours of searching, the helicopter flew to the gas station. The pilot saw what looked like a large rock. He lowered the rotor lower and found that it was a car, and Jerry was waving at them from the window. An 81-year-old man was taken on board to be taken to hospital. It is said that he remained in good humor and constantly smiling, because it was his first flight in a helicopter. Grandson Christian noted that his grandfather had only been in the hospital for a few hours and had no signs of hypothermia. “The nurses were shocked at how well his vital functions were preserved,” the younger Jouret said.
