Since the beginning of 2024, the demand for minor labor has increased in Russia: companies have offered more than 3 million vacancies to young people aged 14 to 18.
This was reported by the Russian publication “Izvestia”.
The number of invitations to work is 28% more than in the same period of 2023. Currently, on average, two or three teenagers work in Russian companies of various sizes.
Another recruiting service of the Russian Federation confirms that teenagers are most often hired as cashiers, couriers, order pickers and call center operators.
The main reason for the increase in the demand for work among teenagers is the shortage of labor force against the background of the low level of unemployment in Russia, the publication writes.
