In the evening hours, all possible reserves are used in the power system to cover consumption due to repairs at NPP power units, no blackouts are expected.

This was reported by the press service Ukrenergo, Ministry of Energy.

Ukrenergo emphasizes that electricity production is currently sufficient to cover consumption. However, in the evening peak hours, all possible reserves are used in the power system due to the withdrawal of the nuclear generation for scheduled repairs. It is noted that after intensive work during the heating season, there is a need to reload the fuel.

In addition, a number of TPP power units that suffered from Russian attacks in the winter were taken out for repairs. This significantly reduced the available capacities and reserves in the power system, particularly in the evening hours.

“However, restrictions for household consumers are not planned. The energy system works stably,” the Ministry of Energy emphasized.

There is no import of electricity to Ukraine, while exports to Poland and Moldova continue at night and during the day, when there is a surplus of power in the power system.

The frontline regions continue to be subjected to constant shelling. In Donetsk region, at night, the Russians damaged the power line that feeds one of the mines, the miners were evacuated. Oblenergo crews have already restored power.

On Tuesday, as a result of hostilities, one of the power transmission lines in the Dnipropetrovsk region was disconnected, which led to the disconnection of more than 6,000 subscribers.

Due to technological violations, power outages were recorded in Odesa as well. Currently, all consumers have been restored. In the Sumy region, one of the pylons of the power transmission line was damaged by a tractor, and restoration work is ongoing there.

In general, some consumers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions remain without electricity due to previous shelling. Energy workers continue to restore power where the security situation allows.

Also, a 12-km-long line, damaged since the beginning of hostilities, was restored in Kharkiv Oblast. Before the power engineers could start repairs, sappers had to defuse more than 1,000 mines.

In total, electricity was restored for almost 7,000 consumers during the day.

Ukrenergo urges to reduce consumption in the evening hours from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in order to help the stable operation of the energy system.
