It is noted that this year Musk and 74-year-old Arno are competing for the first place in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index ranking — the list of the 500 richest people in the world.

Arno first overtook Musk in December. The LVMH company, founded by Arnaud, owns such brands as Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Hennessy. LVMH shares have fallen by about 10% since April.

Elon Musk earned more than $55.3 billion this year, mostly thanks to Tesla. Auto production, which accounts for 71% of his fortune, has grown by 66% since the beginning of the year.

Now Musk’s fortune is estimated at about $192 billion, and Arno’s fortune is about $187 billion.

Let’s remind

The Ministry of Finance wrote that the president of the LVMH group of companies, Bernard Arnault, and his family topped the ranking of the richest people according to Forbes.
