Exchange rate for May 17: how much are the cash dollar and euro worth

On Wednesday, May 17, the dollar rose in price at bank counters, and on the “black” market – became cheaper when purchased.

This is stated in the data minfin.com.ua, finance.ua.

At 09:45, the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia on the “black market” was 37.42 – 37.57 hryvnias against quotes of 37.48 – 37.84 on Tuesday. The exchange rate spread has narrowed significantly, which means that it has become cheaper to buy the dollar.

At the same time, the “black” rate of the euro was UAH 40.90 – 41.08 against the rate of UAH 40.86 – 41.09 per euro on Tuesday.

The average currency exchange rates at bank counters were as follows:

  • US dollar – UAH 37.3 – UAH 37.7 (rate on May 16 – UAH 37.4 – UAH 37.8);
  • Euro – 40.6 – 41.3 UAH (rate on May 16 – 40.7 – 41.3 UAH).

In terms of banks, the cash rates are as follows:

  • Privatbank – UAH 37.03 – UAH 37.53;
  • Oschadbank – UAH 37.2 – UAH 38.15;
  • Ukreximbank – UAH 37.35 – UAH 37.85;
  • Raiffeisen – UAH 37.3 – UAH 37.8.

As for non-cash payments, the exchange rate when paying by card in banks in Privatbank is UAH 37.45 per dollar, in Oschada – UAH 37.12, in Universal Bank (monobank) – UAH 37.44.
