“Navalnoy is being restricted from communicating with lawyers and is not allowed to use writing equipment – and at the same time, they are taking the case with hundreds of volumes to court,” Volkov said.

Earlier it was reported that Navalny could be accused in another criminal case. This time on the article about the disorganization of the activities of the colony in which he is serving time. The reason may be his reaction to a provocation by the staff of the institution, who put a prisoner with serious hygiene problems in his cell.

  • One of the leaders of the Russian opposition, Alexey Navalny, has been in prison since February 2021. Since then, he has repeatedly complained about the conditions of detention in the colony, which his lawyers and associates call “torture.” The oppositionist, in particular, claimed that he was being asked about insomnia, was not provided with medical care, was deliberately placed in his cell with prisoners suffering from various diseases and who did not follow personal hygiene, and was also not allowed to communicate with defenders and relatives.
  • On April 11, Navalny was sent to pre-trial detention center for the 13th time. The reason was not given. Before that, the reasons for the transfer of the politician to the SHIZO were, among others, an unbuttoned button and refusal to wash the fence.
