How many fish died due to pollution of the Seimas and Desna

In Sumy region and Chernihiv region, 31 tons of fish were collected, which died due to pollution of the Seim and Desna rivers.
About this reported acting head of the State Environmental Inspection Ihor Zubovych.
According to him, the water condition is already improving in the Sumy region.
“Therefore, the number of dead fish (recently – ed.) has almost not changed. It is 12 tons and 15 kilograms.
We understand that death no longer occurs there. Maybe only in some places. But our experts are working on it.” – said Zubovych.
In the Chernihiv region, there are more dead fish – almost 19 tons.
As the Acting Head of the State Inspectorate notes, the fish from the Chernihiv beach have been completely removed.
We will remind, Ukrainian specialists installed the source of pollution of the Seim and Desna rivers. According to “almost 100 percent data”, it is the Tyotkin sugar factory, located in the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
