How many schoolchildren and parents could not adapt to studying in the conditions of war – survey

Some of the Ukrainian parents and children (from 15 to 20%) were unable to adapt to schooling during the full-scale war. This is evidenced by the data of a national survey by the Cedos Center. In cities with a population of more than half a million residents, the majority of children (87%) of the surveyed parents study remotely. Mixed or full-time education prevails in villages (62%). Independent work is also common among schoolchildren. 43% of children receive homework from the teacher, study materials online – 38% of students, view lessons on platforms – 11%, study with a tutor – 7%. According to the survey, 10-11th graders spend most of their time studying at home (66%). Infographic: Cedos Center 2,045 parents of school-aged children from all regions, except occupied Crimea, as well as the territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kherson regions took part in the survey. 203 interviews were conducted in the territories occupied by the Russian Federation, as well as in places where hostilities are taking place or have taken place. The survey was conducted on behalf of the savED charitable foundation by Info Sapiens from December 20, 2022 to January 24, 2023.
