The Department of Social Security of the Ministry of Defense has developed an algorithm for processing payments for family members of foreign servicemen who died, went missing or were captured.
About this reported at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
First, applicants need to contact the Embassy of Ukraine in their country of residence to establish their identity and verify legal capacity.
Then – issue a power of attorney for your representative in Ukraine, who has Ukrainian citizenship, for the right to submit a set of documents to the territorial center of recruitment and social support.
Next, it is necessary to issue a power of attorney to open an account in a public sector bank of Ukraine.
Applicants must also provide a set of documents:
- an application in Ukrainian for receiving financial support and funeral assistance (in case of death);
- a certified copy of a military serviceman’s death certificate, certified by a military unit;
- certified copies of documents confirming family ties with the serviceman: for the wife/husband – marriage certificate; for a child – the child’s birth certificate; for parents – a military serviceman’s birth certificate; for persons who were dependent – a document confirming the fact of the dependency;
- copies of documents certifying the identity of a family member;
- copies of documents certifying registration in the State Register of Taxpayers (for filing tax returns);
- consent to the processing of personal data in the Ukrainian language;
- other documents if available.
A set of certified and executed documents and powers of attorney must be sent to the representative in Ukraine. After receiving it, he should open a bank account.
Then the representative must arrive at the TCC and SP of his choice or the military unit and submit the specified documents.
It will be recalled that on September 24, the Cabinet of Ministers published a resolution that simplifies the procedure for payments to the families of fallen soldiers and wounded soldiers.
