Currently, in Ukraine, electricity can be turned off in an emergency. How to store breast milk in the refrigerator if there is no electricity at home, the Ministry of Health reminded. Products in a refrigerator without electricity are stored for only 4 hours, if the door is not opened. And in the freezer – 48 hours. Therefore, if you know in advance about the power outage, you should put all the expressed milk in the back of the freezer, because it is coldest there.
