In Kharkiv, the lyceum was named after a former student, Danylo Didik

Kharkiv specialized school of grades I-III No. 11 with in-depth study of individual subjects was repurposed and renamed Kharkiv Lyceum No. 11. The institution was named after a former student, Danylo Didik, who died after a terrorist attack in Kharkiv in 2015, according to the website of the Kharkiv City Council. As the mayor Ihor Terekhov informed, this was done in order to bring the type of educational institution in line with the requirements of the legislation and to honor the memory of the former student of school No. 11, Danylo Didik. “At the last session, I gave an order to assign school #11 the name of Danylo Didik and put an end to all conversations on this topic. The war itself put an end to this,” said Ihor Terekhov. These can be memorial boards, school museums, street renaming, etc. We will remind, on February 22, 2015, an explosion occurred in Kharkiv near the Palace of Sports during a peaceful march to the anniversary of the victory of the Revolution of Dignity. 15-year-old Danylo Didik suffered a severe brain injury and fell into a coma. The next day he died in the hospital. Read also: Kyiv street was renamed in honor of the fallen defender Roman Ratushny
