Then, a conflict arose between the passenger and the driver of the minibus going from the Chernihivska metro station to the Troyeshchyna housing estate. The reason for the dispute was the latter’s refusal to charge the phone, told in the metropolitan police.

As reported at the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, a man got out at a public transport stop, picked up an abandoned “glass vodka bottle” from the asphalt and threw it into the window of a minibus.

“The impact shattered the glass and the bottle hit the head of the driver’s 12-year-old son, who was sitting in the front side seat.”the police said.

The child received minor injuries – a fatal head wound. As a result of the incident, other passengers of the shuttle bus were not injured.

The boy was taken to the hospital, where he was given the necessary medical assistance.

“The child has recovered, everything is fine. Minor injuries involve loss of health for up to 21 days”– explained Nataliya Fedorovska, senior inspector of the monitoring department of the Desnyan police department.

Law enforcement officers found the culprit in one of Kyiv’s hostels. The perpetrator was a 30-year-old man. Earlier, he was already brought to criminal responsibility for theft.

The man did not explain to law enforcement officers the reasons for his behavior.

“In such cases, people don’t explain much. He didn’t say anything, it probably happened emotionally.”Nataliya Fedorovska said.

The perpetrator was informed of the suspicion of hooliganism – Part 1 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For what he did, he faces a fine of up to 34,000 hryvnias, probation supervision or restriction of freedom for up to 5 years.

We will remind, at the end of August, the police reported about suspicion the attacker of public activist and wife of military serviceman Lesya Volobueva.
