In the fire in the Seliger City residential complex in the north of Moscow, one person died and two others were injured, including a child. This is reported by the emergency services.

As specified in the Investigative Committee of Russia, a spontaneous explosion of gas cylinders, which were used to install a stretch ceiling, occurred in one of the apartments of the residential complex.

Eyewitnesses report that they heard five to eight explosions. As a result, apartments from the fifth to the eighth floor caught fire. As Baza writes, according to preliminary data, the fire started in an apartment where repairs were being made. MSK1 published a video that allegedly shows a blown gas cylinder. Fragments of cylinders were scattered under the windows of the house.

88 people extinguished the fire. It was possible to completely extinguish the fire after some time. The body of the deceased was found when sorting through the rubble. His gender and age are not reported.

Russian mass media write that the residents of the burning house climbed onto the eaves to escape the flames. Eyewitnesses of the fire spread a blanket in an attempt to save the residents of the burning apartments. One person jumped down from the window and was later hospitalized.

A criminal case of causing death by negligence has been opened.
