Pyatigorsk State University dismissed the associate professor of the department of information and communication technologies Elena Kabakov after the court fined her under the law on discrediting the army. Students wrote a report on her. This is reported by the Kavkaz.Realii editorial office.

Kabakova’s dismissal was reported by the state TV channel GTRK Stavropolye. Data about the teacher disappeared from the university’s website, although her last name was still on the department’s staff list on March 2, “Caucasian Node” drew attention.

As the website Kavkaz.Realii wrote, Kabakov was fined for showing a photo of her relatives from Ukraine in the presence of students while studying mathematics, and condemned a student whose stepfather was mobilized for the war.

In the materials of the administrative case, it is indicated that she told the student “this is who your stepfather went to kill”, “why go to Ukraine, they are killing civilians, if I am here, you can shoot at me”, “it would be better for him to serve 10 years for evasion of mobilization, than they are going to kill peaceful citizens”, “let the earth be glassy to him” and “I hope you collected a bag on the last trip”.

In court, she denied guilt, stated that she did not make such allegations and did not discuss anything except mathematics at the lectures. Meanwhile, four students wrote mourning for her, indicated the above phrases.
