In the capital of South Korea, an unusual attraction called “Seoul Ring” will be installed – a 180-meter Ferris wheel without spokes. The construction of the Seoul ring will begin in 2025, and it is planned to be completed in 2 years, according to CNN. The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the attraction will be located in Hanil Park in the northeast of the city – it will be seen in North Korea. Spokeless Ferris wheels are a relatively new development. Seoul authorities said that they decided to place the wheel in Hanil Park (Korean for “sky”) for various reasons, including the proximity of this place to the country’s northern border. “Since the park is geographically close to North Korea, we will embody our desire for a united Korea and national unity in the wheel,” the press release said.
