In St. Petersburg, an unknown person shot into the window of the “Vse svobodny” bookstore. The hole resembles a bullet hole. The inscription “Peace – peace” was written on the window. The shooter ran away.

Representatives of the store believe that the reason for the attack was precisely the pacifist inscription. They do not plan to contact the police. “We don’t see any sense in distracting law enforcement agencies from important matters,” Lyubov Beliatskaya, one of the founders of Vse svobodny, told Fontanka. The store opened a collection for window repair. His worshipers collected the required amount in less than a day.

The program director of the Moscow International Book Festival, Boris Kupriyanov, regards what happened as an act of terror. “The terrorist shot into the windows of the Vse svobodny bookstore. Hooliganism with the help of firearms is not carried out. Terrorists intimidate not only the employees of the bookstore and not only its visitors, but all Russian readers, all those who doubt and do not share the position of the official mass media,” he wrote he is on Facebook.
