In the first quarter of 2023, the Ukrainian IT sector earned $1.68 billion in exports. This is less than in the past, but more than in 2021. The average income for the month was $558 million. The share of IT services in the total export of goods and services was 12.3%. This is stated in Opendatabot data.

How the export of the IT sector has changed
In the first quarter of 2023, the IT sector earned $1.68 billion in exports. This is less than in the same period last year, when the revenue was $2 billion. However, it is still more than in the corresponding period of 2021, when the revenue was $1 .44 billion
For comparison, the average revenue per month in the first quarter was $481 million in 2021, $666 million in 2022 and $558 million in 2023.
Over the past two years, IT earnings peaked on the eve of the war, in February 2022. Then the profit from IT export amounted to $839 million.
This year, the share of IT in the total export of services slightly decreased compared to the corresponding period last year — from 44% to 43%. However, this is still more than the figures for 2021 — 37%.
In general, the export of services brought $3.94 billion in the first quarter of 2023.
The share of the export of IT services in the total export of goods and services increased from 8.5% in 2021 to 12.3% in the first quarter of 2023. In 2022, it was 12.9%.
