A teacher at one of the universities of the Rivne region is suspected of spreading and publicly using communist symbols banned in Ukraine. The woman was engaged in propaganda of the totalitarian regime in the Odnoklasnyki social network, the Rivne District Prosecutor’s Office reports. According to the investigators, a 68-year-old resident of the regional center and a teacher of one of the universities was engaged in propaganda of the communist totalitarian regime among a wide range of people through her page on the banned Russian social network. The woman also spread Soviet symbols, which are prohibited by the Law of Ukraine since 2015. So far, law enforcement officers have recorded 6 episodes of prohibited activity. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing. The sanction of the articles provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years with or without confiscation of property.
