The main changes

The main changes related to mandatory technical inspection of cars include:

  • Implementation of an electronic protocol for the results of mandatory technical control with the possibility of printing a paper copy if necessary.
  • Introduction of video recording of the inspection process instead of photo recording, which reduces the risk of corruption.
  • Video materials will be available to authorities, local self-government and individuals and legal entities upon appropriate requests.
  • Implementation of the requirements for checking the technical condition of vehicles established by Directive 2014/45/EC dated April 3, 2014.
  • Determination of the exclusive list of legal grounds for refusal to pass a mandatory technical inspection.

“These changes are aimed at improving the procedure for mandatory technical control of vehicles and improving road traffic safety,” Dryapaty noted.
