“Leleka” Medical Center entered the list of the safest medical facilities in the world – News
Medicine of world standards in Ukraine. The capital multidisciplinary medical center “Leleka” is the first and only hospital in Ukraine that received the most prestigious accreditation of the Joint Commission International (JCI) and was included in the list of the safest clinics in the world.
This distinction testifies to the highest quality and safety of medical services at the level of world standards.
More than 20 years ago, the independent organization Joint Commission International developed service quality standards for medical institutions. Today, JCI accreditation is recognized by the World Health Organization as one of the highest levels of quality of medical services.
More than 1,000 of the best medical institutions in almost 100 countries have been accredited according to these standards, including the Ukrainian multidisciplinary medical center “Leleka”. The clinic received the JCI “Gold Medal” back in 2019. Since then, it has successfully confirmed compliance with the strictest international quality and safety standards, receiving the extension of the accreditation of the most prestigious specialized organization in the world.
Granting JCI accreditation shows that the clinic provides the highest level of medical services. During the inspection, dozens of different aspects are taken into account, including the quality of medical care, the protection of patients’ rights, the use of modern treatment protocols, and ensuring the safety of patients at all levels. In particular, the following are also evaluated:
● constant improvement of the quality of medical care and service;
● high requirements for the qualifications of doctors and medical personnel;
● minimization of risks in all processes – medical and non-medical;
● compliance with building and equipment safety requirements;
● increasing the level of positive patient experience.
This is not just a static award: institutions that have JCI accreditation are obliged to constantly improve work processes and implement modern technologies.
