Lisovyi did not sign a memorandum with the foundation that promotes LGBT rights – the Ministry of Education and Science denied the fake

Information spread on social networks that the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi signed a memorandum with the international fund The Arcus Foundation, which is engaged in the fight for “social justice” and LGBT rights. The pseudo-memorandum talked about the introduction of gender-sensitive learning methods into the educational process with the aim of creating a “gender-sensitive learning space without gender stereotypes and discrimination.” The “news” appeared in the Mediakiller Telegram channel without reference to a reliable source. It was distributed on other resources, in particular, on the channel of Taras Shevchenko KNU student “Red Huber”. The fake document states that the “experts” of The Arcus Foundation will be involved in the training of Ukrainian teachers, and the Ministry of Education and Culture allegedly undertakes to provide the first grades of Ukrainian schools with relevant literature and implement modules on “gender-sensitive education”. Caution: FAKE! The Ministry of Education and Science officially denied the information about the memorandum with The Arcus Foundation and emphasized that it is a fake. “There is no information about the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and The Arcus Foundation in the Ministry of Education and Science. The Department of Document Management, Control and Information Technology of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine did not register such a memorandum. We inform you about all cooperation of the Ministry on the official website and on our pages in social networks,” the ministry replied. Each of our reactions in social networks is a contribution to the formation of reality,” the MES urges. As a reminder, The Arcus Foundation is a private American foundation founded by billionaire and philanthropist John Stryker. The organization aims to “ensure the prosperity of the LGBTQ community” in a world where “social and environmental justice is a reality.” The organization also founded the Great Apes and Gibbons program, in the framework of which they care for primates in captivity in the United States and 18 countries in Africa and Asia. Judging by the information on The Arcus Foundation website, the foundation issues grants to hundreds of organizations that promote “social justice”, fight for LGBT rights, care for the environment and, in particular, the conservation of primates.
