Navalny spoke about “Putin’s torture” in the colony

In the colony in the Vladimir region, where the opposition Russian politician Aleksey Navalny is located, the words of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin are played every evening at high volume. This is stated in Navalny’s telegram channel.

According to Navalny, there are speakers hanging in the corridor and “Putin is shouting through them with such a volume that he is not going anywhere.” The politician notes that this prevents him from reading in the evenings: Navalny has a little more time for that. From day to day in the colony, “the few things that Putin did after the start of the war with Ukraine” are spinning, the politician notes.

“Putin’s torture” – along with the ban on writing letters, the destruction of products and the regular settlement of an unclean neighbor – Navalny connects with the release of his team’s investigation that the colony where he is located buys products at inflated prices.

  • In June 2022, Navalny was transferred from the general regime colony in Pokrovo to the strict regime colony in Melekhove. Navalny and his supporters consider the criminal prosecution to be political.
  • In less than an hour, Navalny was already sent to the detention center 14 times, including for unbuttoning his button and refusing to clean the fence. The penitentiary is distinguished by particularly harsh conditions of detention. Navalny described it as a cell measuring two by three meters, where he has to sit on an iron stool. He also said that there is boiling water and one book in the SHIZO, compared to an ordinary cell, where there is “coffee and two books.”
  • According to Navalny’s lawyer Vadym Kobzev, in early April, an ambulance was called to Navalny due to an aggravated stomach ailment. The defender noted that Navalny’s diagnosis is still unknown. Kobzev reportedwhich will require toxicological and radiological tests, since poisonous substances in small doses can be given to the protected person.
