On Monday, April 10, oppositionist Alexei Navalny, who is serving a prison term in colony No. 6 in the Vladimir region, was once again sent to a detention center. This is what the politician says on social networks.

Navalny will spend 15 days in the SHIZO. The reasons for the decision of the colony management are not reported. The previous term of stay in the penitentiary ended on April 7.

The message says that due to the new rules, the oppositionist was restricted from buying food, he was allowed to go for a walk at seven in the morning, his writing time was reduced, and a sewing machine was placed in the neighboring cell for work.

Navalny assumed that the deterioration of the detention conditions was connected with the investigation of his team. The politician’s allies claim that the colony where he is located buys products at inflated prices.

Since August of last year, Navalny has been sent to the SHIZO for the 13th time.

The previous time, according to the politician, he was sent to a detention center because he allegedly misrepresented himself. Among other things, Navalny cited an unbuttoned button and refusal to wash the fence as reasons for being transferred to the SHIZO.

The penitentiary is distinguished by particularly harsh conditions of detention. Navalny described it as a cell measuring two by three meters, where he has to sit on an iron stool.
