News of March 1: VAKS assigned bail to Kobolev, “Naftogaz” does not recognize debts to the GTS Operator in the amount of 17 billion

About Naftogaz. VAX appeal canceled the preliminary decision of the court on recognizing as unfounded the request of the SAP to take into custody the former chairman of the board of “Naftogaz” Andrii Kobolev and set a bail of UAH 229 million.

About the ruble. Russian ruble fell down to its lowest level in 10 months, having lost about 20% of its value since early December, as Western sanctions, Moscow’s shrinking revenues from energy sales and high military spending put pressure on the currency.

About debts. LLC “Gas Networks of Ukraine” (“Gazmerezhi”), which should become operators of gas distribution networks instead of the current regional gas companies, will not take on debts of regional gas to the Operator of the GTS of Ukraine in the amount of UAH 17 billion.

About capital amnesty. March 1 in Ukraine ended campaign of voluntary declaration of assets (tax amnesty), which started in September 2021.

About sanctions. Russian air carriers after a year of war continue to operate 467 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, despite the sanctions. Before the war, they used 544 such machines
