Resident of Krasnodar Oleg Vajdaev was tortured in the police station. Sota’s lawyer, Aleksey Avanesyan, announced this to Sota. According to Avanesyan, the defendant was beaten and electrocuted, a gas mask was put on him to silence his screams. The police wanted to get a confession from Vajdaev that he acted on the instructions of Ukrainian “customers”.

Oleg Vajdaev was arrested for attempting to set fire to the military enlistment office in Krasnodar on the night of September 25, 2022. According to him, he wanted to destroy his personal file at the military enlistment office, fearing mobilization. In the police department, under torture, he testified that he allegedly acted on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, who promised to pay him.

Vajdaev was initially charged with damage to state property in the amount of 40,000 rubles. According to the lawyer, his case has now been reclassified to an article on terrorism and transferred to the FSB.

Avanesyan emphasized that this is not the first time that information about the use of torture in the Krasnodar Police Department on Oktyabrskaya Street has been received. In 2018, Dmitry Svitnev, a supporter of Alexei Navalny, was tortured there, and in 2019, lawyer Mikhail Benyash was tortured there.
