The application supports voice input thanks to the Whisper AI language recognition model, and can also synchronize chat history with the web version of the bot.

It is worth noting that the official ChatGPT mobile application appeared for the first time – before the bot was officially available only through a browser.

As on the ChatGPT site, in the iOS application users will have to log in with an OpenAI account. The processing of the request takes place outside the smartphone itself on the company’s server, so an Internet connection will be required in any case.

ChatGPT Plus subscribers have access to the same extended functionality as in the web version — access to the GPT-4 language model, early access to new features, and faster responses to requests.

The company also confirmed plans to release the ChatGPT app for Android soon, making the tool available to even more users.

The developers reported that the application is currently being launched in the United States. According to them, expansion to other countries is planned in the coming weeks.
