People’s deputies say that the mobilization of some men under the age of 25 may be suspended: what is known
The Ministry of Defense can probably issue an order of impossibility mobilization “limited fit” men under the age of 25.
If such people are already mobilized, they will not be able to be sent “for zero” to the assault troops, said the People’s Deputies of “European Solidarity” Iryna Gerashchenko and Oleksiy Honcharenko.
“It was decided that there will be an official order to stop the mobilization of 18-25-year-olds while the draft law is under consideration…Stefanchuk also agreed that this issue needs immediate resolution. But it is still necessary to understand how those people who were mobilized will be replaced in the army”– wrote Honcharenko, referring to the words of the Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk.
And according to Iryna Gerashchenko, draft law No. 11379-d will be presented in the next plenary weeks, which will officially legitimize these norms and establish the norm regarding the demobilization of “limitedly suitable” 18-25-year-olds.
Bill No. 11379-d, which is supposed to prevent the mobilization of men of limited fitness under the age of 25, is still under consideration in the Verkhovna Rada.
The document should make it impossible to mobilize persons younger than 25 years old, who did not undergo military service or a military department, but were recognized as “limitedly fit” (up to abolition of this status).
At the beginning of September, the Council approved its basis. On September 16, it became known that the Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense considered and unanimously supported draft law No. 11379-d.
It will be recalled that on May 4, changes to the order of the Ministry of Defense began to take effect, according to which the VLK cannot now grant a conscript the status of “limited fitness for service”. Men aged 18 to 60 who had the status of “limited fitness” must go through the VLK again until February 4, 2025.
