In Kharkiv and the region, within the limits of the All-Ukrainian mental health program, a regional psychological service has been launched. First Lady Olena Zelenska told in Telegram how citizens can get help. “We chose the Kharkiv region because there is a huge demand for psychosocial support in its territories that were under occupation,” she says. The psychological service works as a regional hub. Its specialists – mobile groups of psychologists and psychosocial support specialists – provide assistance in Kharkiv and communities of the region. Photo: yakobchuk1/Depositphotos According to the first lady, people who survived the occupation in Kharkiv region were in terrible conditions, often without food and water. “They didn’t live – they survived, losing loved ones, burying them in the yards of their own homes. One can only imagine what happens to the psyche, if the enemy controls not only your territory, but also you and your family and children,” writes the first lady. The mission of the newly created Kharkiv Psychological Service is to help people recover. To receive psychological help, citizens can call the “hotline” at one of the following numbers: 0680719929; 0500719929; 0630719929. As a reminder, a “hotline” also operates in Ukraine, where people experiencing stress due to war or forced relocation can receive free psychological support.
