Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed a university teacher from Kharkiv who cooperated with Russia. The woman transmitted information about the location and movement of Ukrainian troops and corrected attacks on the city.

An employee of a higher education institution has been going around Kharkiv and its adjacent territories since the summer of 2024, on the instructions of the Russian special services. The woman tried to find out the location of fortified areas, as well as strongholds of Ukrainian troops.

In addition, it collected information about the places of the largest concentration of personnel and heavy weapons of the Armed Forces.

The teacher also monitored the routes of the military convoys in the direction of the front line.

“The suspect sent the received information to her Russian curator in an anonymous chat. In the “report”, the woman marked the coordinates of military objects on Google maps and added a text description to them”– the SBU adds.

Employees of the service detained the woman in her own apartment, where they found a mobile phone with evidence of criminal activity.

Residents of Kharkiv reported the suspicion of unauthorized dissemination of information about the sending, movement of weapons, armaments and military supplies to Ukraine, the movement, movement or placement of the Armed Forces – Part 2 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The court chose a preventive measure for the woman – detention without bail. She faces up to 8 years in prison.
