“Sobesednyk” suspended publication of the newspaper due to the status of “innoagent”
The publishing house “Sobesednyk” suspended the publication of the newspaper of the same name and other publications in connection with the inclusion of LLC “Sobesednyk-Media” (the founder and publisher) in the register of “foreign agents”.
This was confirmed by SOTAvision’s special correspondent Elena Mylchanovskaya, who called the decision to end the publication of the newspaper forced. According to her, the publication of printed publications will be suspended for at least 2-3 months. Sites and social networks will also not be updated, it follows from the comment.
Milchanovskaya noted that the management of the publishing house will challenge the decision of the Ministry of Justice to include him in the list of “foreign agents”.
- The Ministry of Justice added “Sobesednyk-media” to the list of so-called foreign agents on September 13. The department stated that the publishing house opposed the war in Ukraine, distributed fakes about the Russian authorities and the army, and also published the materials of other “foreign agents”.
- “Interlocutor” has been published since 1984. In recent years, it remained one of the last Russian newspapers that allowed itself to speak to the opposition and criticize the Kremlin’s policies.
