The Business Insider published diagrams of “Putin’s bunker” in Gelendzhik

The Business Insider publication published schemes and drawings of the so-called “Putin’s palace” near Gelendzhik. According to the journalists, the documents were freely available on the Internet at least since 2016. They were posted on the site of the project company “Metrostyle” as an example of the work done. The facility is called a boarding house there.

The drawings show that, in addition to the above-ground part, the estate also has underground floors. There are fortified rooms and tunnels underground. The elevator from the building descends to a depth of about 50 meters. The underground part has ventilation, electricity, water supply, sewerage and communication cables.

Two separate tunnels six meters wide and 40 and 60 meters long are surrounded by a 40-centimeter layer of concrete and, according to experts, can withstand a direct bomb hit. The upper tunnel leads to the slope of the sand dune, the lower, longer one – directly to the shore of the Black Sea. It is equipped with a travolator. An asphalted road approaches the lower exit.

Construction engineer Taddeus Gabryshevsky commented on the drawings: “These tunnels have everything for safety. A fire extinguishing system, water, sewage. They are intended for someone who wants to survive or escape. But this is not just an emergency exit, it is a full-fledged emergency replacement of the palace complex “.

• Information about the luxurious estate near Gelendzhik was published in the investigation of Alexei Navalny’s team in January 2021. Investigators claim that the estate and palace on Cape Idokopas were built for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
• It is confirmed that only the construction and reconstruction of the main building – the “palace” itself – is estimated at 100 billion rubles. The film about the “palace” was released a few days after the arrest of the oppositionist. The reaction to the arrest and the outcome of the investigation was mass protests in many cities of Russia. The authorities responded to them by persecuting Navalny’s associates, whose structures were declared extremist and banned.
• After the release of the film, Vladimir Putin declared that the “palace” did not belong to him and he had never been there. There is no direct evidence in the investigation that Putin actually lived or visited this building, but it is clear from the documents that the president’s closest entourage is related to it. Businessman Arkady Rotenberg, a friend of Putin, identified himself as the owner of the building. According to Navalny’s team, it is not clear from the property documents that the owner of the building is really Rotenberg or its structure.
