The commander of “Akhmat” about the Chechens in captivity in the Ukrainian Armed Forces: “We don’t need them”

The commander of the Chechen special forces “Akhmat” and the deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Army, Apty Alaudinov, said that he was not going to free the natives of Chechnya, who surrendered during the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk Region, from captivity, and called on them to “do everything to kill them.”

In a statement that Alaudinov published in his Telegram channel, he said that he was helping only those warring compatriots who were taken prisoner due to a serious injury. Those who surrendered without resistance, according to the commander of “Akhmat”, “do not deserve to live.” “Ukrainians, leave them alone, we don’t need them. I don’t care what you do with them,” Alaudinov concluded.

Earlier, the Ukrainian photojournalist Yan Dobronosov published a video with the former head of the Chechen settlement Valerik Magomed Zarakhmatov captured in the Kursk region. In the footage, he claims that he was a private, was captured on August 14 in the Suzhan district of the Kursk region, did not resist, and was sent to fight under compulsion.

  • The Ukrainian army launched an offensive in the Kursk region on August 6. The Armed Forces claim control over dozens of settlements, including the district center of Suja, more than a thousand square kilometers of controlled territory and hundreds of captured soldiers of the Russian army. A federal state of emergency is in effect in the Kursk region. According to official data, more than 130 thousand people have been evacuated from the border areas. How many people remain employed by Ukrainian troops is unknown, however, according to available data, their number is at least hundreds.
  • Since the beginning of the breakthrough of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the territory of Russia, Apty Alaudinov has recorded and posted dozens of videos on social networks about the military successes of his unit in the Kursk region. He repeatedly promised to bring the situation in the region under control “within the next few days.”
