The construction of the third level of defense has been stopped, money is being sought for it – Kudrytskyi
In Ukraine, the construction project of the third level of protection of energy facilities is currently suspended, because it is necessary to find money for it.
The former head of NEC “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytskyi told about this in an interview with the European Parliament.
“Now this project is suspended because it is necessary to find money for it. Ukrenergo was not responsible for this project. The company is not the customer of this construction,” he said.
According to him, the construction customer is the State Agency for Reconstruction, which concluded contracts with contractors. The main problem in the implementation of such a project is to find money for it.
“As far as I know, donors have not yet financed the third level. I know that the budget has only partially financed these works so far,” said Kudrytskyi.
He added that the availability of funding is the main problem for the completion of the third level of protection.

Energy facilities vulnerable to “shaheed” attacks – including substations at power plants – were supposed to be closed by the second level of protection, but it was implemented only at Ukrenergo substations.
