Barnaul journalist Maria Ponomarenko, who was sentenced to six years in prison in the case of the so-called fakes about the army for the publication about the Mariupol bombing, stated that she was bullied in Krasnoyarsk colony No. 22, Sibir.Realii reports. During the transfer from one cell to another, FSIN officers forced her to carry all her belongings, including a mattress and blankets, on her own. According to the lawyer of the journalist, Dmytro Shitov, Ponomarenko is experiencing severe pain in his lower back after being transferred from the Biysk pre-trial detention center. When the journalist turned to the other convicts for help, one of the colony’s employees shouted at her.

In an interview with NGS24.RU, the lawyer said that he is now preparing a complaint against the actions of the prison staff, who not only forbade inmates to help Ponomarenko, but also refused to call a doctor, despite the convict’s severe pain. At the same time, Shitov notes that the journalist receives treatment on a regular basis and has no complaints about the medical service. It is known that after the incident, an employee of the colony wrote a report that Ponomarenko allegedly insulted her with a mat. Later, during a personal search, notebooks with notes, as well as texts of the Criminal Code were taken from the girl, her personal belongings and letters were shaken out and scattered.
