The court in Moscow sentenced the ex-editor of DOXA to two months in prison in absentia

The Dorohomilovsky district court of Moscow replaced the former editor of the DOXA student publication Alla Gutnikova with two months of correctional labor in a general regime colony in the case of the involvement of teenagers in rallies. This was reported by lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov.

Gutnikova is now in Berlin.

In January 2021, DOXA published a video in support of schoolchildren and students who were intimidated before actions in defense of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. The later publication removed the video at the request of Roskomnadzor, but the case against the editors was still initiated.

In April of last year, the court found guilty of four former editors of the DOXA student publication, Armen Aramyan, Alla Gutnikova, Natasha Tyshkevich, and Vladimir Metyolkin, in the case of involving minors in committing illegal acts. They were given two years of correctional labor and banned from administering sites for three years. All four pleaded not guilty.

In September, it became known that Gutnikova, Metyolkina and Tyshkevich were declared wanted by the federal government.

At the end of last year, the State Duma commission to investigate the facts of foreign interference in the affairs of Russia accused the publication DOXA of promoting pro-Ukrainian propaganda and conducting illegal actions. The Commission asked the Prosecutor General’s Office to recognize the publication as extremist.
