The court rejected the claim of a Muscovite woman whose daughter was taken away because of her avatar with “Javelina”

The court in Moscow dismissed Elena Zholiker’s claim against the juvenile department and the police who questioned her 10-year-old daughter Varvara. “OVD-Info” was informed by lawyer Tatiana Solomyna.

The plaintiff demanded that the actions of the police in relation to her daughter be recognized as excessive and illegal.

In October, the police took the fifth-grader out of class, after the school principal filed a report because of the avatar the girl used to chat with her classmates. It depicted the “Holy Javelina” in blue-yellow colors with the inscription “Glory to Ukraine”. Before that, the mother was called to school because her daughter was missing the patriotic lessons “Talks about the important”.

As Zholiker told Radio Svoboda, she and her daughter were forcibly taken to the police station, where they were not allowed to eat, drink or go to the toilet for four hours. Employees of the “E” Center and the FSB asked a ten-year-old girl about her attitude to politics and her avatar in the messenger

After the interview, police officers came to the family’s home and, without presenting any documents, searched the apartment, threatening to take the children away from the mother in case of resistance. They studied correspondence and search history in the phone and laptop. Then, according to Joliker, they became interested in the color scheme of the interior. They recorded in the report of the inspection of the premises that the pots, the carpet in the nursery and one curtain in the apartment were yellow, and also photographed a picture of children with the word “peace”, the schoolgirl’s mother told Radio Svoboda.

Soon, the commission on minors placed the family on preventive registration, and Elena Zholiker, who is raising two daughters alone, was found guilty of improper performance of parental duties. Zholiker tried to contest the registration in court, but to no avail. As a result, the family left Russia.

The image of Saint Javelina – the Virgin Mary, holding in her arms the anti-tank complex “Javelin” instead of the baby Jesus, was created by the Canadian Christian Boris. He distributed this picture, collecting the help of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia introduced sanctions against Boris.
