The creator of the online library “Flybusta” announced the closure of the project
The creator of the online library “Flybusta”, known under the pseudonym Stiver, reported that he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, the most common and aggressive form of brain tumor. He announced the imminent closure of the project.
“I’m in the hospital with an obscenely large glioblastoma. Unfortunately, “Flybusta” seems to have ended there, as did I. Thanks to everyone, it was fun. Servers are paid for a few more weeks,” Stiver wrote.
“Flybusta” was launched in 2009, where you can read and download books for free. In 2015, Roskomnadzor blocked several pages of the library as determined by the Moscow City Court as a security measure following a lawsuit by the publishing house “EXMO” – it owns the rights to publish Ray Bradbury’s books in Russia.
In 2016, the Moscow City Court decided to block the online library “for life” due to the repeated violation of the copyright law by the administration of “Flybusty” – before that, the project created a bot in Telegram that allows you to download books in electronic format without going to the site.
